Join the Workgroup

The Pride The Hague workgroup forms the core of the organisation behind Pride. As a workgroup member, you are directly involved in shaping Pride Week: from early ideas and planning to decision-making and execution. The workgroup sets direction, coordinates efforts, and helps ensure that Pride remains community-driven, inclusive, and aligned with its values.

The workgroup is a small volunteer team. We organise Pride alongside our regular lives, and we do the best we can with the time and capacity available. That means we work collaboratively, support each other, and stay realistic about what is possible.

Everyone contributes in their own way, and every contribution matters. New voices, ideas, and perspectives are always welcome.

Together, the workgroup:

• •Shapes the overall vision and direction of Pride The Hague
• •Makes key organisational and programming decisions
• •Coordinates events, partnerships, and communication
• •Works with volunteers, partners, and external stakeholders
• •Keeps safety, accessibility, and inclusion central

There is no strict hierarchy: decisions are made collectively, with space for discussion and reflection.

Being part of the workgroup is a volunteer role. Members usually:

• •Meet biweekly (mostly in the evenings)
• •Take responsibility for specific tasks or focus areas
• •Contribute time according to their capacity
• •Communicate openly about availability and boundaries

We aim to create a working environment that is supportive, flexible, and respectful.
