Pride The Hague is more than just a parade or a party — it’s a celebration of our entire community in all its beautiful forms. We believe that every story, every connection, and every experience deserves a place to shine. That’s why we want to invite you to host your own Pride event during Pride The Hague!
Why Host an Event?
Pride thrives on diversity, and that means embracing every part of our incredible queer community. Whether you’re an individual with a creative idea, part of a group, or representing an organization, your event matters. Even if you don’t believe there’s a big community around your interests, we believe there is — and we want to help you find it.
From intimate gatherings to big celebrations, every event contributes to making Pride The Hague richer, more diverse, and more vibrant. The power of Pride lies in bringing together as many unique voices, stories, and spaces as possible. So whether you want to throw a party, run a workshop, host a discussion, or create a quiet reflection space — we want to hear from you!
What Kind of Events Are Welcome?
The short answer? All of them.
We encourage you to think outside the box and create something that speaks to your experience and interests. Here are just a few ideas to inspire you:
- Queer game nights, movie screenings, or creative workshops
- Queer-positive spaces, educational discussions, or intimate social gatherings
- Safe spaces for reflection, community care, or mental well-being
- Performances, drag shows, or open mic nights
- Panel discussions, skill-sharing sessions, or activist meetups
- Sports events, yoga classes, or outdoor adventures
- Cooking get-togethers, book clubs, or crafting circles
- Family-friendly spaces and inclusive children’s activities
If you have an idea, no matter how big or small, we encourage you to reach out. We hope to see as many different aspects of the queer community represented as possible.
We are here to support you!
We know that organizing an event can feel overwhelming, and we’re here to help. Pride The Hague will try to support you in various ways to make your event a success:
- Connecting you to our network: We can introduce you to local groups, performers, and organizations that may align with your vision or provide valuable resources.
- Helping you find a space: Need a venue? We’ll do our best to help you secure a suitable location for your event.
- Promoting your event: Every approved event will be added to our official Pride The Hague calendar so attendees can easily find and support your initiative.
- Helping you get funding: We will try and connect you to partners and sponsors who might be willing to give you a certain (limited) budget for your event.
Please note that while we are committed to supporting you, we are also running on limited resources with our time, space, and especially budget. Nevertheless, we will do whatever we can to help you get your event off the ground.

How to get started?
It’s easy to bring your idea to life:
- Think about what kind of space or experience you’d like to create.
- Fill out our Event Submission Form (linked below) with as much detail as possible.
- Our team will review your submission and connect with you to offer support and guidance.
Whether you’re an experienced event organizer or taking your first steps into hosting, your contribution is valuable. Every event — big or small, loud or quiet, joyful or reflective — makes Pride The Hague stronger.
