Pride Walk The Hague
May 17 | 13:30 - 16:30
Free
The Pride Walk is a vibrant and powerful way to express who you are, be seen, and — most importantly — be proud of who you are. We will walk in a colorful procession through the city, led by an impressive 25-meter rainbow flag.
The route traditionally starts at the International Homomonument at the Koekamp, with several inspiring speeches. We will then walk past prominent locations in and around the center of The Hague, returning to the starting point.

Why a Demonstration?
The Pride Walk is not just a parade; it is a true demonstration. By registering the event as such with the municipality, we ensure that our walk is legally protected as a protest for LGBTQIA+ rights, visibility, and acceptance. This classification requires us to comply with certain regulations set by the municipality — without these measures, we would not have been permitted to proceed. This includes the presence of police during the event and restrictions on full face coverings. While this may feel restrictive, it is necessary for us to secure the right to march.
More information, including the detailed program, rules, and additional details, will follow soon. Stay tuned for updates!
Do’s & Don’ts
While we would have preferred to proceed without these rules, these guidelines are provided by the municipality as a condition for us to proceed with the event.
✅ Do’s:
- Keep roads, intersections, and pathways clear.
- Clean up after yourself; leave the area tidy.
- Follow all police instructions.
- Use lightweight materials for banners, boards, and flags (no thick poles or heavy sticks).
- Ensure your signs and banners are non-discriminatory, non-offensive, and non-inflammatory.
❌ Don’ts:
- No face coverings such as balaclavas or helmets (except COVID-19 masks).
- No dangerous items such as chains, bats, or protective gear.
- No discriminatory, offensive, or inflammatory text on banners, signs, or flags.
- No prohibited symbols such as swastikas, SS symbols, or wolf hooks.
- No burning of materials like wood, oil, candles, or torches.
