From History to Action: Pride at THUAS
May 15 | 13:30 - 14:30
Free
Pride The Hague is more than just an event; it is a movement that advocates for acceptance, empowerment, and equal rights for the LGBTQIA+ community. This year’s theme, Sharing Stories, emphasizes the importance of amplifying diverse experiences, listening to different perspectives, and working together towards a more inclusive future.
At The Hague University of Applied Sciences, students and staff are actively committed to creating an environment where everyone can be themselves without fear of exclusion or discrimination. This event is organized by the Inclusion Office, Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA), and The Lighthouse, and provides a space to reflect on the history of the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly the experiences of LGBTQIA+ people of color, and to recognize how much work still needs to be done to achieve true inclusion.
On Thursday, May 15, we invite students and staff to an inspiring program featuring a panel discussion and a collective action, demonstrating how we as a community contribute to inclusion. By coming together on this day, we send a powerful message: we support the LGBTQIA+ community and are committed to a culture of respect, equality, and solidarity.
