Get Involved

Pride happens when people come together.

Behind every rainbow flag is a story. Behind every event is someone giving their time, their skills, and their heart. Pride The Hague exists because our community of volunteers, partners, residents, organisations, and allies choose to show up.

For 2026, we dream bigger: more stories shared, more colour in the city, more collaboration, and more moments where people feel seen and safe. To get there, we need many hands and many voices.

If you want to make an impact, support your community, or contribute your expertise, there is a place for you in Pride The Hague 2026.

Let's build it together.

Ways to Get Involved

Whether you have an hour to spare or want to commit for the long haul, there's a place for you at Pride The Hague.

Why Contribute?

Pride The Hague exists because people choose to contribute their time, ideas, energy, and resources. As Pride The Hague grows into a full Pride Week in 2026, this shared contribution becomes even more essential. Contributing means helping shape a Pride that reflects the diversity, creativity, and values of the city itself.

A Moment of Growth

After two successful editions, Pride The Hague is entering a new phase. Pride 2026 will be a full Pride Week, creating more space for programming, visibility, and community connection across the city. Contributing now means being part of this transition and helping shape how Pride Week takes form.

Different Contributions, Shared Impact

There is no single way to contribute. Pride depends on many forms of involvement:

  • Organising or hosting events
  • Sharing expertise, networks, or spaces
  • Supporting communication and outreach
  • Financial or in-kind support
  • Volunteering time and skills

Why Your Contribution Matters

Contributions to Pride The Hague help increase visibility across the city, create accessible and welcoming spaces, and strengthen collaboration between communities and organisations. They ensure Pride remains community-rooted, inclusive, and sustainable, while building a strong foundation for future editions.

What Contribution Brings

Contributing to Pride The Hague is not a one-way commitment. It is a collaboration that offers meaningful value through connection, visibility, and shared impact.

Contributors gain:

  • Meaningful visibility within a community-rooted Pride Week
  • Association with shared values, including inclusion, safety, and diversity
  • Connection to new audiences and networks across the city
  • Opportunities for collaboration with cultural, social, and civic partners
  • Early involvement in shaping Pride Week 2026 and its programming
  • A sense of shared ownership in a citywide movement

Rather than transactional sponsorship, Pride The Hague focuses on partnerships that feel authentic, aligned, and mutually beneficial. While Pride Week is the most visible moment, the impact of Pride The Hague extends beyond it. Contributions support long-term relationships, awareness, and collaboration within the city, helping create a place where people feel seen, safe, and welcome throughout the year.

What You Can Expect

Pride The Hague is organised by a small volunteer team, working together with partners, volunteers, and organisations across the city. We aim to collaborate in a way that is transparent, respectful, and grounded in shared responsibility.

Clear Communication

We strive to communicate clearly and in good time, sharing practical information, timelines, and expectations as Pride Week approaches. While we work with limited capacity, we aim to keep everyone informed and aligned throughout the process.

Support Where Possible

We do our best to support contributors, organisers, and volunteers within our means. This can include guidance, coordination, promotion through our channels, and helping connect people where useful. We are open about what we can and cannot offer, and we encourage questions early on.

Shared Values

All collaborations are guided by Pride The Hague's core values of inclusion, safety, respect, and care. We expect everyone involved to contribute to a welcoming environment and to engage with others thoughtfully and responsibly.

Respect for Capacity and Boundaries

As a volunteer-led organisation, we work within realistic limits. We value open communication about availability, capacity, and boundaries: both from others and from ourselves. Pride works best when expectations are clear and sustainable for everyone involved.
